CheckeSIMRates compares travel eSIM offers collected from providers’ public catalogues. We help you find listed plans that fit a trip. We do not sell the eSIM, test network performance in every destination, or claim to cover every offer on the market.
What the price data represents
A stored plan contains its provider, allowance, validity, price and collection timestamp, plus available information such as coverage, network, top-ups and speed limits. Missing information is not proof that a feature is absent. The provider’s checkout and terms are the final source for a purchase.
We aim to refresh the catalogue daily. Failed or delayed collection can leave older offers in place, so check the displayed date. A site-wide update time does not mean every provider was checked at that exact moment. Provider pages and plan snapshots give more specific freshness information where recorded.
How plans are ranked
- Destination comparisons: fixed-data plans default to the cheapest total price among matching plans. You can instead sort by price per GB.
- Trip length: plans must remain valid for at least the selected number of days.
- Data allowance: a minimum-data filter sets a floor, so a 5 GB search may include larger plans.
- Unlimited plans: these have a separate table ranked by price per day. They have no meaningful price per GB.
- Regional comparisons: fixed-data plans are sorted by price per GB, with unlimited plans kept separate. Check each plan’s coverage list.
Destination summaries and FAQs describe all tracked country plans, ignoring the filters. Trip examples state their own minimum allowance and validity. On paginated tables, clicking a column sorts the rows on that page.
What “cheapest” means
“Cheapest listed” means the lowest recorded price within the stated set of plans. It does not mean the best network, fastest service, most useful allowance or best support. On provider pages, the number of destinations with the lowest entry price includes ties and compares starting prices without imposing a common allowance or validity.
A regional plan is not automatically cheaper than two country plans. Compare the total for the exact route, the data you need and how long you will use it.
Currency and unit prices
We normalize prices to USD using the stored exchange rates so offers can be compared on a common basis. Display-currency conversions are comparison aids. Your provider may charge in another currency, and your final checkout total or card conversion can differ.
Price per GB is total price divided by the fixed allowance in GB. Price per day is total price divided by validity. The comparison converts 1,024 MB to 1 GB; check how the provider describes its allowance. A median is the middle value, or the average of the two middle values when the number of observations is even.
Unlimited does not promise unlimited full-speed data
Some plans reduce speed after a daily or whole-plan allowance. Those are different restrictions. A missing numeric limit means it is not recorded in our data, not that a limit cannot apply. Read the provider’s fair-use and hotspot terms and our unlimited-data disclosure comparison.

Quote the destination, allowance, validity, currency and snapshot date alongside a price. Treat an old research finding as historical rather than a live quote.
